Bay Village Police Blotter: Bikes From China and Touch-A-Truck

On September 5, at 5:19pm, a male resident arrived on station to report a fraud. The male had ordered a bike from an online vendor in the middle of August for around $75. When a package arrived from China a few weeks later, it contained only six decorative beads. After checking, the vendor’s website had been taken down. The Bay Village Detective Bureau is investigating.

On September 10, at 3:48pm, Bay Village Police were dispatched to the 27000 block of Henry Road to take a theft report. The homeowner reported that a compressor was taken from his garage over the previous few days. Bay Village Detectives are investigating.

*The 5th Annual Bay Village Touch a Truck will take place this Saturday September 14th from noon to three pm at the Bay Village Police Department. This free event runs rain or shine and will feature trucks and equipment from the Bay Village Police, Fire and Service Departments. Numerous other agencies will also have apparatus on hand. In addition, Metro Life Flight helicopter will land around 1pm. Kids of all ages are invited to attend. *
