Cleveland - The Center Street Swing Bridge over the Cuyahoga River will be closed starting Monday, Sep. 9th from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily for the next few weeks.
The bridge will be opened to vehicle traffic for lunch 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The closure is necessary to perform routine maintenance on the bridge structure.
The bridge has been closed multiple times in recent months after malfunctions and issues with maintenance.
The city saying the move is necessary to avoid future issues with the bridge.
Alternative Routes – The alternative route while repairs are being made is from Columbus Road, to Franklin Avenue, to West 25th Street and then onto Main Avenue.
