Cleveland Man Arrested For Trafficking Cocaine In Lorain

Lorain - A Cleveland man is behind bars after being found with a large amount of cocaine.

Thursday, August 29th, 23-year-old Giomar Alexis Diaz, from Kensington Avenue in Cleveland, was arrested in Lorain after being found in possession of over 110 grams of cocaine. 

Diaz was arrested after a brief investigation by the Lorain Police Narcotics Unit, with the assistance of the Lorain Police Community Impact Unit, Lorain Police Patrol and K9 Units and the Elyria Police Narcotics Unit.

Diaz was taken into custody without incident. Lorain Police Narcotics discovered over 110 grams of cocaine inside of the vehicle that Diaz was operating, adjacent to where he was seated. Diaz was charged with trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine. Both offenses are felonies of the first degree. Diaz is currently under indictment in Cuyahoga County for one count of attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault, three counts of aggravated riot and one count of criminal damaging.
