Bay Village Police Blotter: Hanging Ten on Normandy Road

On August 24, a 1:12am, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Lake Road west of Cahoon Road for a moving traffic violation. Police spoke with the male operator, a 24-year-old Avon Lake resident who appeared to be under the influence. The male failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. On station, the male refused to take a breathalyzer test. He is facing charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.

On August 24, at 7:21pm, Bay Village Police received a 911 call reporting that a white Jeep was driving erratically in the area of Normandy Road with multiple juveniles inside. To make matters worse, one of the juveniles was on hanging outside of the vehicle. Bay Village Police found the vehicle and spoke with the juveniles involved. All parents were contacted and adults arrived on scene to take possession of the juveniles and the vehicle.

On August 26, at 12:57am, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Clague Road south of Wolf Road for a moving violation. Officers spoke with the male operator, a 24-year-old Lakewood resident, who appeared to be under the influence. The male failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. On station, the male submitted to a breathalyzer test which showed a .132 % blood alcohol content. He is facing charges at Rocky River Municipal Court.
