“A Charlie Brown Christmas” is a holiday classic that speaks to adults as much as it does children.
From Charlie Brown’s lamenting that Christmas has become too commercial to the whole Peanuts gang singing “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” and all the strange dancing and Lucy’s gaslighting in between, the 1965 television special is as relevant is ever.
On December 10, fans can see the animated special come to life as the musical “A Charlie Brown Christmas Live On Stage” comes to The Agora. According to a release, the 90-minute show includes “each of your favorite scenes from the original animated television show, with more fun, more music, and more finding the true Christmas spirit,” adding, “inclusion is also a big theme.”
Tickets, ranging from $25 to $45, go on sale to the general public at AXS.com July 19 at 10 a.m. Fans can purchase pre-sale tickets starting July 17 with the access code CHRISTMAS.
