All-Star Celebrity Softball Game Rocks The House At Progressive Field

Cleveland - Cleveland versus the world the theme of this year's All-Star Celebrity Softball Game.

The Cleveland squad, led by hometown stars like Jim Thome, Kenny Lofton, Drew Carey, Dr. Oz, MMA Champion Stipe Miocic and WWE Superstar and team captain Mike "The Miz" Mizanin, did battle against a World Team featuring Celebrity Softball game regular and Former Olympian Jenny Finch, Avengers star Anthony Mackie, former sluggers Bernie Williams and Ryan Howard and more.

"When I heard it was Cleveland versus The World, I was like that is what Cleveland is all about", said Mizanin, last year's MVP. "I feel like that's our journey every single day. So to have all these people from Cleveland on the same team and all these celebrities, entertainers, athletes drawn together by the city of Cleveland is truly incredible".

Former Cleveland Browns Offensive Lineman Joe Thomas also suited up for Team Cleveland, and talked about how special it was to be on this stage with some many Cleveland, and world, greats.

"When they announced the rosters in the locker room and people had to raise their hand, you could just see the pride for the people that grew up in Cleveland and people like me who played their whole career here. The idea of being a Clevelander just gets in your blood."

Possibly one of the most well known Clevelanders, Drew Carey, says there is not place better then Cleveland to host all the All-Star festivities.
