Offense: Physical Control/Prohibited BAC

Date: June 18th

Time 10:22 PM

Location: 33060 Solon Rd.

Arrested: Kathryn Svec, 37 from HudsonCharged: Physical Control/Prohibited BAC

A Solon police officer on patrol observed a vehicle parked at a closed business at 33060 Solon Rd. with the headlights on. Investigation revealed that the driver was reclined in the seat and asleep. After waking the driver up, and asking a few questions it appeared that the person was impaired. A series of field tests did indicate impairment and the driver was arrested and taken to the Solon Correction Center. A subsequent breath test resulted in a .208 BAC

Offense: Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication

Date: June 21st

Time: 6:49 PM

Location: 34310 Aurora Rd.(Market District

Arrested: Vitaly Kuchuk, 55 from Chagrin FallsCharged: Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication

Officers were dispatched to the Market District to assist an off duty officer with an intoxicated male. Responding officers found the off duty off with the suspect sitting outside at a table. It was learned that the suspect had entered the State Liquor store and had attempted to buy alcohol but was denied due to his intoxicated state. Prior to leaving the male told the employee to “Fuck off”. The male then attempted to by alcohol at the bar and was again denied and again told that employee to “fuck off”. The male was discovered outside seated at a table and was advised to leave the property but he refused and told the officer the same thing he had told the employees, to “fuck off”.Kuchuk was placed under arrested and transported to the Solon Correction Center.

Offense: OVI/Prohibited BAC/Marked Lanes/Open Container

Date: June 22nd

Time 1:48 AM

Location: 27000 Block Aurora Rd.

Arrested: Darrell Harris, 50 years old from Maple Hts.

A Solon Police Officer stopped a vehicle on Aurora Rd. in the 27000 block for being operated erratically. Upon speaking with the driver a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected coming from the driver/vehicle. When asked, the driver admitted to drinking one drink after work. A series of field tests were conducted which indicated impairment. The driver was arrested and transported to the Solon Correction Center where a breath test was performed resulting in a .135 BAC. Inside the vehicle an open jar of moonshine was discovered.

Offense: Theft/Open Container/Warrant for other agency

Date: June 22nd

Time: 8:39 PM

Location: 34310 Aurora Rd. (Market District)

Arrested: Tariq Ali, 21 years old from Solon.

Solon Police were dispatched to the Solon Market District for a report of a theft in progress. Responding officers were provided with a description of the suspect and his direction of travel. Arriving officers located the male seated in a vehicle with the stolen item in his hand. The suspect was arrested for theft. Inside the vehicle was found an open bottle of alcohol. The suspect also had an outstanding warrant from another city.

Offense: Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication/Underage Consumption of alcohol

Time: 10:10 PM

Location: Suzanne Ln/Windy Hill Ln.

Arrested: Ethan Kohl, 19 years old from Solon

Solon Police officers were dispatched to Windy Hill Ln. to assist with a reported highly intoxicated male. Upon arrival, officers located the reported male being pinned to the ground in an attempt to control him. Officers assisted in gaining control of the male who was placed in handcuffs. Investigation revealed that the male had been attending a gathering on a nearby street and during the gathering had become highly intoxicated. The male had been asked to find a ride and to leave. The male refused offered rides and took off on foot. The male was located by family members and pinned to the ground. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Solon Correction Center. The male was found to be in possession of a fake identification card which he used to purchase the alcohol.

Offense: Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle

Date: June 23rd

Time: 1:40 AM

Location: 30100 Aurora Rd. (Springhill Suites)

Arrested: Kishaun Stratford, 19 years old from Warrensville Hts.Bedford Warrant

17 year old male from EuclidReceiving Stolen property

A Solon police officer on routine patrol observed a vehicle parked behind the Springhill Suites on Aurora Rd. with a broken out window. A check of the registration revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen out of Independence. As the officer was checking the registration 3 males exited the vehicle and were detained. The driver, a 17 year old male from Euclid provided the officer with false information as to his identity. His real identity was established and he was arrested. It was discovered that this male also had an outstanding warrant from juvenile court for rape and gross sexual imposition. The front seat passenger was identified and found to have a warrant from the city of Bedford. A back seat passenger was released with no charges. During the investigation a bag was found under the vehicle containing an old flint lock style pistol. Ownership could not be determined as of now.
