Geauga County Sheriff's Deputies in stand-off with man in Chardon Township

UPDATE: The stand-off in Geauga County that lasted 12 hours is now over. Geauga County fire officials report the man who locked himself in a house on Chardon Road near Auburn road is now in custody after reportedly leaving the house, getting in his car and leading authorities on a slow speed chase. Sheriffs deputies eventually tased the unidentified man who was handcuffed and taken away on a stretcher. The 66 year old is accused of intentionally damaging a neighbor's vehicle, then threatening Geauga County sheriff's deputies when they arrived on the scene. No word on what charges he will face.

CHARDON TOWNSHIP - Geauga County sheriff's deputies are asking people to stay away from a portion of Chardon Road as they stake out a home in Chardon Township. Inside that home is a 66 year old man accused of intentionally damaging a neighbor's vehicle. The unidentified man reportedly threatened authorities when they arrived at the scene, claiming to have a gun.
