Bay Village Police Blotter: Liars, Trash Pickers and Drugs

On May 21, 2019 at 9:36am, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle in the area of Bruce Road and Fordham Road for trash-picking. The female passenger, a 52 year-old Cleveland resident, provided false identifying information to officers. When officers found her real information, it was discovered that she had an active arrest warrant out of Guernsey County. The female was arrested for providing false information to officers and was cited for garbage picking. She posted bond and is facing charges in Rocky River Municipal Court. When checking the warrant status, it was determined to out of the pick-up radius.

On May 22, 2019 at 1:17am, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle in the area of Columbia Road and Detroit Road for having fictitious license plates. When talking with the male operator, officers encountered the overpowering odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. After a search of the vehicle, officers found that the passenger had a loaded handgun in the vehicle. Officers also found numerous stolen items, three large bags of an unknown white powdery substance, an open container of alcohol and other drugs and paraphernalia. Antonio Marshall (44 year old from Flint, MI) and Aaron Marshall (22 year-old from Flint, MI) were placed under arrest. Both were bound over and taken to County Jail to await their next hearing at the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas on May 30, 2019

They were charged with Felony Improper Handling of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle, Felony Identity Fraud, and Misdemeanor charges of Possession of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, and Open Container of Liquor. Charges are pending based upon lab results for the unidentified substances.
