Bay Village Police Blotter: Traffic Stops With Not So Happy Endings

On April 10, at 4:48pm, Bay Village Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired registration. When officers approached the vehicle, they noticed the smell of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted with marijuana and drug paraphernalia found inside. The male was issued citations and was later released at the scene.

On April 13, at 12:35am, Bay Village Police conducted a traffic stop on Cahoon Road at Osborn Road for a moving violation. The male operator, a 67 year old, Westlake resident, appeared to be under the influence. The male failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. On station, the male provided a breath sample which showed a .07 blood alcohol content. He is facing numerous charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.

On April 14, at 1:20am, Bay Village Police conducted a traffic stop on Cahoon Road north of Wolf Road for a moving violation. The operator, a 47 year old Tallmadge resident, appeared to be under the influence. The male failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. On station, the male provided a breath sample which showed a .096 blood alcohol content. He is facing numerous charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.
