Lake County – On Monday, Jon P. Marten, of Concord, was sworn-in as a Trustee to the Laketran’s Board of Trustees after being appointed by Lake County Commissioners.
Marten is a retired chief financial officer of Parker Hannifin, where he had a thirty year career helping grow the company to become the world leader in manufacturing motion and control technologies and systems.
Marten will bring his financial acumen to Laketran as well as his strategic leadership.
“I am honored to have been appointed to the Laketran Board,” shared Marten. “I have had a fortunate career working for a great Company and now that I’m retired I want to spend time giving back to be an example to my community, my neighbors and most importantly my sons.”
“Jon is a great addition to our board and I look forward to working with him,” expressed Brian Falkowski, board president of Laketran. “His financial expertise and understanding of the needs of manufacturers will be very beneficial as we continue to look for ways to expand service to improve job access around Lake County.”
Marten replaced a vacant seat following the resignation of Dennis Lafferty and will serve until May 2020.
