The Cure:Along with Def Leppard, The Cure is another English rock bank whose work spans more than four decades surviving several changes in the band. Lead vocalist, guitarist and principal songwriter Robert Smith is the only remaining original member.
Part of the Post Punk and New Wave movement, Smith’s look along with the band’s dark lyrics forged them into leaders of the emerging Gothic Rock era. “Love Song”, “Just Like Heaven” and “Pictures of You” still play on the airwaves today.The Cure is one of the first alternative bands to have chart and commercial success in an era before Alternative Rock.
