Elyria - Police in Elyria looking for a Lorain man who reportedly shot and killed someone off broad street.
At a little before 3am, Elyria Police Officers were detailed to 841 W. Broad St. in reference to a male subject being shot.
Upon arrival, Officers made contact with a witness who directed officers to a 45-year-old Terrence L. Taylor, who was found lying behind the front door of the residence. Taylor had multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Elyria Police Detectives determined that 34-year-old Ivan L. Brooks was responsible for Taylor’s death.
A murder warrant was issued for Brookes' arrest. He is currently AT-LARGE and his whereabouts are unknown at this time. Broolcs last known address was on Lexington Avenue in Lorain.
The Elyria Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Brooks, who is considered armed and dangerous.
