Cleveland Police search for hit-skip driver who killed pedestrian

Cleveland - Police are asking for help from the public to find a hit-skip driver who killed a man Friday afternoon.

The victim, a man in his late 50s, was struck by a car on West 25th Street at Woodbridge Avenue around 3:00PM.

He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he died.

Police say the white SUV (possibly a Trailblazer or similar) with tinted windows and a temporary tag was driven by a black male, between the ages of 20 and 30, with a beard and about 6 feet tall.

The vehicle was headed eastbound on Woodbridge, then made a northbound left turn onto West 25th Street, striking the victim in crosswalk and almost injuring the victim's wife as well.

The hit-skip driver then fled northbound on West 25th Street.
