Browns Star Involved in Case of Car Theft, Pot, Murder, Secret Recording

(CLEVELAND) Browns safety Jabrill Peppers had his Range Rover stolen with a gun inside in February, possibly by a homeless man found beaten to death a week later. Peppers is not a suspect in that death but attorney Kevin Spellacy was secretly recorded saying police disposed of some marijuana found in a bag stolen from Peppers’ Range Rover and no one should tell the media.

Spellacy has said he was joking. Cleveland police spokeswoman Jennifer Ciaccia has not said whether the contents of the recorded conversation were enough to launch an internal investigation into Spellacy’s claims.
