On 02/05/2019, at approximately 1020 hours, a Bates resident reported that an unknown person had transferred $10,000 out of one of her bank accounts without her authorization.Police are investigating.

On 02/07/2019, at 0434 hrs, Westlake PD contacted BVPD to report they had arrested two individuals who had been entering vehicles in their city.While inventorying the vehicle the suspects were in, the officers located property that belonged to three Bay Village residents.Two vehicles on Ashton Lane and a vehicle on West Oakland were entered.The residents were contacted and given their property back.BVPD reminds residents to not leave valuables in your vehicle and lock the doors.

On 02/08/2019, at 1744 hrs , a Millard resident contacted BVPD to report she had been the victim of a fraud by a snowplow company.The company had cashed her check in the fall, but have yet to come out and plow her driveway.Police are investigating.

On 02/08/2019, at 1918 hrs, a motorist reported a possible OVI westbound on Lake Rd. in the area of Upland.While the caller was speaking with the dispatcher, the suspect vehicle pulled into a driveway on Lake Rd.The caller blocked the suspect vehicle in the driveway and police arrived on scene shortly after.After officers spoke with the 24 yoa female driver, they suspected she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the Lakewood resident was arrested for OVI.She will face charges at RRMC.
