Solon Police Blotter: Drugs, B&E And Theft The Theme

Possession of Drugs, Solon Motel:  January 17h 10:51 p.m.  Officers responded to the Solon Motel, 32575 Aurora Road, for a verbal argument between a male and female outside of room 11.  The male, who was intoxicated, was found a short distance from the motel.  The female was also found a short distance away on Aurora Road.  Apparently the two had gotten into an argument and had separated.  It was discovered that the male was in possession of marijuana and cocaine; he was advised that he would be arrested for Disorderly Conduct as well as Drug Possession, and that any other drugs should be disclosed before the corrections facility was entered.  Once in the jail the suspect was removing his pants to put on the corrections jumpsuit when a small baggie of suspected cocaine fell onto the floor.  Ryan Vaughn, 30 of Bedford Heights is charged with Disorderly Conduct, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Cocaine, and Prohibited Conveyance of Drugs into a Correctional facility.  Naishia Carroll, 34 of Cleveland, was charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Breaking and Entering, D&M Convenience Food Mart:  January 18th 6:55 a.m.  The owner of D&M Convenience Food Mart, 33630 Aurora Road, reported finding the glass door on the front of the building broken out when he arrived at 6:55 a.m.  Cash and a safe with cash and lottery tickets had been stolen; the business had last been open at 9:30 p.m. the previous evening.  The detective bureau responded to process the scene and will be investigating. 

Theft, Solon Community Center:  January 23rd 8:34 p.m.   A 17 year old Solon resident reports that he arrived at the Solon Community Center 6:05 p.m. and placed his wallet in an unlocked locker.  He returned at 6:30 to find that approximately $200 had been removed from the wallet.  The theft will be investigated by the detective bureau.
