Cuyahoga Falls - The Cuyahoga Falls man accused of driving drunk and slamming into a police cruiser on a Northeast Ohio highway Christmas Eve has been charged.
On December 24, 2018, a 56-year-old James Marshall was involved in a motor vehicle accident on I-271 in which he struck a Macedonia Police Department cruiser. A Macedonia Police Officer was injured in the accident.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and subsequently charged Marshall with several misdemeanor crimes including Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation into the incident.
On January 15th, Marshall was charged with Aggravated Vehicular Assault, which is a third degree felony.
Marshall was arrested and booked into the Summit Count Jail.
