(Erie County) - One of Ohio's first medical marijuana dispensaries is expected to open its doors for business within the next few days.
The Forest Sandusky is located on Tiffin Avenue in the Ohio town known for its resorts and water parks.
CEO Eric Vaughan says patients who suffer from about 20 pre-existing conditions...from Alzheimer's to cancer to HIV will be able to purchase medical marijuana with a prescription from a certified doctor.
When operations begin, the dispensary will be open 7 days a week, from 7am to 9pm. The Forest will be run by 12 employees.
Patients are expected to spend about $100 per visit, but marketing director Kara Lambert expects prices to drop dramatically as production increases.
For sale will be medical marijuana flowers to start, and will then be followed in a few weeks by vapors, patches, edibles, oils and other substances that are now legal statewide.
