Solon Police Blotter: December 13th

Solon - 

Burglary, Brookmeade Court:  December 7th 7:17 p.m.  A 61 year old Solon resident reports finding damage to the trunk and driver door of her car when she was leaving her Solon workplace.  In addition she believes someone has been entering her Brookmeade Court apartment over the past month and removing items. The detective bureau will be following up.    

OVI, SR 43:  December 8th 2:11 a.m.  An officer observed a vehicle stopped eastbound SR 43 at the intersection of SR 91 at a red light.  The rear wheels of the vehicle were on the stop bar, and the front of the car was protruding into the intersection.  When the light changed the driver continued east to Burger King, 34275 Aurora Road, and made an improper turn in order to enter the parking lot.  Latoya Johnson, 37 of Aurora, was stopped and subsequently arrested after the officer observed indications of impairment.  Johnson submitted to a breath test with a result of .166.  She is charged with OVI, Prohibited BAC, and Use of Turn Signals. 

Domestic Violence, Edgemoor Avenue:  December 9th 5:28 p.m.  A 36 year old Garfield Heights resident went to the residence of his ex-wife to pick up his children, where an altercation ensued between him and his 36 year old ex-wife.  The father, who was recently released from the hospital for back surgery, received scratches on his face and neck from his ex-wife.  She has been arrested for Domestic Violence and held pending arraignment. 

OVI, SR 43:  December 9th 9:32 p.m.   Christopher Jesson, 30 of Bedford Heights, was arrested after an officer observed him make several marked lane violations while eastbound on Aurora Road near Solon Boulevard.  The officer noticed an odor of alcohol upon approaching the driver, and observed that his eyes were glassy and bloodshot and he was exhibiting slurred speech. Field sobriety confirmed that Jesson was impaired and he was arrested and taken to jail where he submitted to a breath test with a result of .001.  Additionally, he submitted a urine sample which was sent to the lab for exam.  Jesson is charged with OVI, Marked Lanes, Failure to Require Seat Belts for a Front Seat Passenger.  Additional charges are pending the results of the lab exam.
