(Cleveland) - Hundreds turned out Saturday afternoon at Cleveland State University for a memorial service for cleveland.com reporter Nikki Delamotte.
Delamotte was the victim of a murder-suicide at the hands of her uncle at his home near Toledo. She had gone to visit him. It hasn't been determined by investigators what caused the shooting.
Cleveland.com reports that Delamotte wanted to reconnect with her uncle after having little contact with her father's family since her parents divorced.
She had worked for cleveland.com for about two years and wrote human interest and culture stories.
