CLE Police Officer Shot in Buckeye-Shaker Area

Cleveland Division of Police cruiser

(Cleveland) - An officer with the Cleveland Division of Police was shot multiple times in the legs in the early morning hours of Saturday. Now, a manhunt  in the city of Cleveland to capture the shooter appears to be concluded, as the Cleveland P.D. have announced an arrest of a suspect by the city's Gang Crimes Unit

That officer was transported to  University Hospital and is reported as being in stable condition, after undergoing surgery. The shooting took place in the city's Buckeye-Shaker neighborhood, at the intersection of 121st and Cromwell, near Buckingham.

Cleveland police were initially called to the area after a report of shots fired at or near that intersection. A second, unnamed victim was found wounded inside a car at the scene, apparently the source of that initial call. No information has been released about that person's condition.

For privacy reasons, the department has decided to not identify the officer at this time.
