"Rock This Town" Chronicles Cleveland Music Scene

(CLEVELAND) Fran Belkin saw Cleveland's rock scene as an insider from the mid-60s as wife of Jules Belkin, one half of the Belkin Productions with Mike Belkin. The Belkins put on the iconic World Series of Rock shows from 1974 to 1980 at Cleveland Municipal Stadium as well as almost every major concert in Northeast Ohio.

Fran had boxes of t-shirts made for the shows and, when she found them in her attic, realized she had a story to tell.

"It was such an interesting group of shirts and I decided to just photographed them," Fran recalls. "And as I looked at the photographs,  I realized  this is a history not just of Belkin Productions but of rock music at a time when Cleveland was at the forefront of the music business."
