CLE Police Officer Fails Drug Test

(Cleveland) - An officer with the Cleveland Police Department has been placed on restricted duty, after testing positive for cocaine on a mandatory department drug test.

50-year-old James Hummel is now charged with using a weapon while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. The spokesperson for the Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association says that Hummel entered a treatment program soon after getting the test results. His court date is October 28th.
