(Parma) - Investigators have confirmed that the baby who was inside a car that crashed following a police pursuit on Monday, has passed away from her injuries.
Dead is 5 month old Myah Jones, she was severely injured when her father, who was suspected of shoplifting, led police on a chase, crashing into a trash truck at Ridge and Pearl Roads. The vehicle then burst into flames.
The driver, 31 year old Robert Jones died at the scene, his 48 year old mother was injured. Detectives say they don't know why Jones fled, he had no warrants and no prior convictions.
