Bay Village Police Blotter: Aug. 30th - Sept. 1st

Bay Village - 

On 08/30/18 at 11:24am, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Glen Park at Knickerbocker Road for failure to control her vehicle. The operator, a 43-year-old Bay Village resident, appeared to be driving impaired. The operator failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. Once on station, the female consented to take a urine drug test, which was sent out for processing. She is facing charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.

On 08/31/2018, at 11:41 pm, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Bradley Road at Lake Road for an equipment violation. After speaking with the operator, police conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle. The operator was given a warning for the violation and the passenger was given a citation for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  

On 09/01/18 at 9:46pm, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Lake Road near Longbeach Road for speeding. In addition, the juvenile operator had a prohibited number of passengers in the vehicle. Officers made arrangements for the passengers to be picked up by an adult and the operator is facing charges in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court.
