Red Sox Pound Tribe, 10-4; Encarnacion Hits Two, 2-Run Homers

(Boston, MA)  --  Xander Bogaerts cracked two solo homers to help the Red Sox cruise to a 10-4 win over the Indians at Fenway Park.  Bogaerts and Mitch Moreland both left the yard during Boston's five-run fourth inning that helped break the game open.

Matt Barnes earned the win in relief for the Red Sox, who are nine games ahead of the Yankees for first in the AL East at 89-and-39.

Edwin Encarnacion connected for a pair of two-run blasts in the loss.  Carlos Carrasco didn't make it out of the fourth inning, giving up five earned runs on eight hits to fall to 15-and-7.

Cleveland's 73-and-53 record still has them running away with the AL Central.

The Indians and Red Sox wrap up the four-game series Thursday afternoon at Fenway Park.  Adam Plutko starts for the Tribe, and David Price for the Bosox.  First pitch at 1:10 p.m. on WTAM 1100 and ALT 99.1.
