(Lorain)- Two emaciated dogs were rescued from the backyard of a Lorain home on Tuesday. Lorain police officer Rick Broz received a tip the dogs had been abandoned by the owners in the middle of the night when they moved to a new home. Officer Broz found the dogs near death, so weak they had to be carried out on stretchers. No arrests have been made. They are still trying to identify the people who lived there. The dog's recovery could take months.
