CLEVELAND - Police say 19-year-old Scott McHugh was speeding and drunk when he hit and killed a woman riding an electric scooter on East 9th Street.
21-year-old Jenasia Summers was riding an electric "Icon-G" scooter on E. 9th, near St. Clair Avenue, early Sunday morning, when she was struck from behind by the Chevy Cruze driven by McHugh.
Summers was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center where she later died. McHugh is currently in the Cuyahoga County Jail.
He'll face a judge Monday for aggravated vehicular homicide charge and possibly other charges.
