CLEVELAND - Officials with the U.S. Coast Guard and Cleveland Fire Department say a call came in just after 8 p.m. Thursday, saying that witnesses saw a 60-year-old man go into the waters of Lake Erie and never came out.
Divers searched the area using sonar equipment with no success.

Cleveland Fire officials say they could not find any indications a swimmer was missing and it was unlikely the search would be resumed Friday, however, Rangers with Cleveland Metroparks will be posted on the beach to conduct a shore-based search.
