CLEVELAND - More information is coming to light in the case of embattled Browns wide-out Josh Gordon. Court records obtained by WKYC-TV suggest his recent problems may not be what you think.
The former all-pro reportedly stepped away from the team just days after a child support order was announced in a heated case dating back to 2015. Court records claim Gordon, who made little money while suspended from the NFL in 2015 and 2016, was to begin making child support payments August 1st.
The mother of the child had threatened to release "sensitive information" on Gordon in an effort to embarrass him if the case continued.
Those records also indicate Gordon is expected to return to the orange and brown in time for their September 9th season-opener against Pittsburgh.
