Cleveland Clinic scores high in hospital rankings

(Cleveland) - U.S. News & World Report has released its rankings of the best hospitals for 2018-2019, with the Cleveland Clinic at or near the top of the list in several categories. 

On the magazine's Best Hospitals Honor Roll, the Cleveland Clinic is second in nation, Minnesota's Mayo Clinic is number one. 

Cleveland Clinic is number one is Cardiology & Heart Surgery, and first in Urology. Number two in kidney health, Gastroenterology, and Rheumatology. 

The Clinic is 3rd in the nation for Diabetes & Endocrinology, Orthopedics, and respiratory illnesses. 

According to U.S. News, the Cleveland Clinic is the best hospital in Ohio, being nationally ranked in 14 adult and 10 pediatric specialties. 

The number two Hospital in the state is University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, followed by Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Miami Valley Medical Center in Dayton, Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, and Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital.
