(Cleveland) - Country music star Lauren Alaina is in Cleveland today, to support Habitat for Humanity with the renovation of five homes on East 130th Street, in the city's Kinsman neighborhood.
Habitat has been working with Ply Gem Building Products which is providing exterior materials for the houses, including windows, doors, and siding.
Alaina worked alongside the volunteers, and sang to them during their lunch break. She will also give a private concert at the House of Blues tonight, for the all the people who donated their time and talents to the project over the past week.
Vicki Frye of Ply Gem tells Newsradio WTAM 1100, the City of Cleveland has seen more that 7,000 properties abandoned over the past 5 years, and her company wants to give back by revitalizing and rebuilding new residences.
