Cahoon Park After Sunset: Bay Village Police Blotter

On 07/21/2018, at 0102 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. at Dover Center for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the 51 yoa female driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the Avon Lake resident was arrested for OVI.  She will face charges for OVI.

On 07/19/2018, at 0319 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Porter Creek near Lake Rd. for suspicious activity. The vehicle was observed driving through Cahoon Park after hours.  After speaking to the 18 yoa male driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the North Ridgeville resident was arrested for OVI.  He will face charges at RRMC.

On 07/18/2018, at 1001 hrs, a Narragansett resident reported that both of her unlocked vehicles had been entered overnight.  Loose change and $10 in cash was taken.  Police are investigating.  BVPD reminds residents to removed valuables from your vehicles and lock your doors.

On 07/17/2018, at 2325 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Tuttle at Walmar for several traffic violations.  After speaking with the 18 yoa female driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the Avon Lake resident was arrested for OVI.  She will face charges at RRMC. 

On 07/20/2018, at 0001 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle in the Cahoon Park Walking Path parking lot for a curfew violation.  After speaking with the female driver, the officer suspected there were drugs in the car.  A probable cause search was conducted which produced marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  The Avon Lake resident was cited for the violations, and will face charges at RRMC.
