Local Croatian's Throwing World Cup Watch Parties

posted by Robb Bailey -

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland area is home to the 4th-largest concentration of Croatians in the U.S., and several local establishments will be holding watch-parties this Sunday as the tiny Baltic nation takes on France in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Final.

After taking out the likes of Argentina, Russia & England, Croatia now moves on to their first-ever finals.

Some of those holding watch parties this weekend include:

The American Croatian Lodge, right at the corner of RT-91 and Lakeshore Blvd in Eastlake, featuring a laid-back atmosphere and authentic Adriatic cuisine.

For a slightly rowdier crowd, you can try Bumpers on Mentor Avenue right at the border of Mentor and Willoughby. You can't miss the giant Croatian flag and "Go Croatia" message board.

Or, for the daring, there's the Croatian Tavern at the corner of E. 33rd Street and Saint Clair Avenue. If the front door's locked, just knock on the side-door on E. 33rd. If you're nice, they'll let you in.
