Congressman Jordan Denies Knowing of Sexual Abuse Allegations

(Washington, DC)  --  Congressman Jim Jordan, whose district includes part of Lorain County, is denying reports that he did nothing to stop sexual abuse when he was a wrestling coach at Ohio State University.

Several former wrestlers told NBC News that they believe Jordan knew that former doctor Richard Strauss allegedly abused team members.

Jordan was an assistant wrestling coach at the university from 1986 to 1994.  Jordan's spokesman said he never saw any abuse and never heard about any abuse while he was at the school.

The university is investigating allegations of abuse by Strauss dating back to the mid-1970s.  Strauss died in 2005.
