Drug Abuse, Aurora Road: June 22nd 12:24 a.m. An officer stopped a bicyclist on Aurora Road near 30100 who was riding without any lights. The officer quickly observed signs that the bicyclist was impaired, and could not positively identify himself after producing an ID card that did not appear to be him. The officer learned from ICE that the ID card possessed by the subject was fictitious and during further investigation discovered the individual had methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in his possession. The individual was arrested and taken to jail where additional investigation will be performed to determine the true identity of the individual. He is charged with felony Drug Possession and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Theft, Redbridge Lane: June 22nd 12:02 p.m. A 90 year old Redbridge Lane resident and her 20 year old granddaughter reported that someone had taken $5930.00 worth of silverware from the home between January 1, 2018 and present. Several home care workers had been in the residence during that time; the detective bureau will investigate.
OVI, Park East Drive: June 23rd 1:46 a.m. Martha Bryan, 53 of Solon, was arrested officers had contact with her driving erratically on SR 91 onto Park East Drive. She was confused and had difficulty forming sentences, with highly constricted pupils. Field sobriety tests indicated impairment and she was arrested and taken to jail where she submitted to a breath test with a result of .00; she additionally submitted to a urine specimen which was sent to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Lab. Bryan admitted to being under the influence of numerous prescription medicines; she was charged with OVI, with other charges pending.
OVI, SR 91: June 24th 2:57 a.m. Taijwinder Singh, 23 of Solon, was arrested after an officer observed him driving recklessly on SR 91 and onto Park East Drive. Observations of impairment were made by the officer that was substantiated by field sobriety tests and Singh was arrested and taken to jail where he refused to submit to a breath test. He is charged with OVI and Speed.
OVI, Solon Road: June 26th 6:48 a.m. William White, 57 of Oakwood, was arrested following a report from a motorist that she had been struck from behind by a tan Chevy on the US 422 exit ramp at Harper, and the other vehicle had fled the scene. The fleeing vehicle was located by an officer at Solon Road and Hawthorne Parkway, where a traffic stop was initiated. The officer observed a strong odor of marijuana when he approached the driver. Through witness statements and an ID attached to the car keys in the ignition the officer was able to determine that the drive of the vehicle switched places with the passenger before they were stopped. The driver at the time of the stop, William White, was arrested for OVI and taken to jail where he submitted to a breath test with a result of .001. He also provided a urine sample which was sent to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Lab for exam. He is charged with OVI and Possession of Paraphernalia. Carolos White, 24 of Cleveland, was driving at the time of the accident and is charged with Driving under Suspension, Hit Skip, and Assured Clear Distance.
Physical Control, Fox Hill Drive: June 27th 6:25 a.m. Officers responded to Fox Hill Drive cl-de-sac for two juveniles sleeping in a Nissan. Officers found two males in the vehicle listening to music apparently intoxicated, with empty bottles on the ground outside of the vehicle and bottles of alcohol in the vehicle. Jeffery Kiarie, 20 of Solon, was arrested and charged with Physical Control with Prohibited BAC (.174), Possession of Alcohol Underage, and Physical Control. The passenger Nathan Morrissette, 20 of solon, was issued citations for Possession of Alcohol Underage and having an Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle.
Domestic Violence, Fox Run: June 27th 4:04 p.m. After an argument with her 51 year old mother, a 17 year old girl slapped her mother when her mother took the car keys so she could not drive away. The girl has been referred to Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court for possible Domestic Violence charges.
