CLEVELAND -- There are only two questions surrounding the Indians heading into the 2018 MLB regular season.
The first being health. Can the Tribe remain healthy over the upcoming six month marathon?
The second question will certainly be impacted by the answer to the first, but the other question is: How many games will Cleveland win the AL Central Division by?
This prediction isn't about being cocky or overconfident, it's merely about common sense. Top to bottom, the Indians are clearly the best team in the AL-Central heading into the 2018 campaign. And while the Minnesota Twins are coming off a trip to the MLB Playoffs and added interesting pieces over the off-season, the Tribe should still reign the division when October rolls around.
As for the other three clubs? The Kansas City Royals won't admit they are rebuilding, but they are. The Chicago White Sox may control this division in two years, but their young talent just isn't quite there yet. And the Detroit Tigers, despite hiring a respectable manager in Ron Gardenhire, may lose 100 games by early September.
So without further ado, for the seventh consecutive season, here are my AL-Central Division predictions:
1. Cleveland Indians (94 wins)
2. Minnesota Twins
3. Chicago White Sox
4. Kansas City Royals
5. Detroit Tigers.
