Beachwood - Beachwood- A lockdown remains in place at Beachwood Mall following a shooting; one person is hospitalized in stable condition and a suspect has been arrested.
Beachwood Police Chief Gary Haba said the shooting occurred outside the mall about 3:00PM Saturday.
He said it appears the suspect and victim knew each other.
Shoppers inside the mall locked themselves inside stores when the lockdown occurred while others ran to the exits.
Haba said he wasn't sure if the mall would reopen Saturday evening.
A spokeswoman for the mall's owner, Chicago-based GGP Inc., referred questions to Beachwood police.
