New charges in the Larissa Rodriguez case

Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O'Malley

(Cleveland) - A new twist in the Larissa Rodriquez case, the Cleveland mother charged with the death of her 5 year old Jordan, whose body was found buried in the family's backyard on West 80th Street.

Cuyahoga County prosecutor Michael O’Malley says Larissa Rodriguez’s companion, Christopher Rodriguez is now charged with murder in connection with Jordan’s death.

Also, Larissa and private social worker Nancy Caraballo are indicted for food stamp trafficking. O'Malley claims Caraballo made monthly $1,000 payoffs to Larissa to buy food stamps for half their face value.

Caraballo worked for an agency called Bright Beginnings. O’Malley contains she should have been reporting the abuse that was taking place in the Rodriguez household, but instead enriched herself by accepting bribes from Larissa to keep quiet.
