(Painesville)  --  Lake effect snow is forcing drivers to slow down on I-90 through Lake County. Ohio Department of Transportation officials lowered the highway speed limit to 40-miles-per-hour last night amid heavy snow squalls. A high number of snow-related wrecks on I-90 between State Routes 44 and 528 prompted ODOT to create a variable speed zone last year.
