(Cleveland) - The man accused of killing a Strongsville teacher faced a judge today. Jeffrey Scullin Jr. was arraigned in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, via video from the county jail.
He watched the proceedings on a monitor, wearing an orange jail uniform, and said nothing.
Scullin's attorney, Joseph Patituce, did not speak to reporters after the appearance.
Judge Michael Donnelly did not change Scullin's bond, it remains at $1 million. The case now goes to a Cuyahoga County grand jury for possible indictments. Scullin returns to court on November 13th.
Scullin is charged with aggravated murder, making false alarms and tampering with evidence.
Strongsville police claim Scullin shot and stabbed 49-year-old Melinda Pleskovic, his future mother-in-law, in her Blazing Star Drive home. Detectives say DNA on a knife in Scullin's truck connects him to the crime.
