(VALLEY VIEW) - Crews had to pull a dump truck out of the canal along Canal Road after police say the driver lost control coming down the Granger Road hill, plowed through the intersection at Canal Road, missing the pumps at the Shell gas station on the corner, and plunging into the water.
The intersection was closed or restricted for hours Tuesday afternoon. It took three tow trucks to pull the vehicle out of the water.
People from nearby restaurants and businesses came to watch recovery crews do their work. It does not appear that the driver was seriously hurt.
