(Cuyahoga County) - There's been a second wave of wheel and tire thefts in the city of Lakewood.

Between Tuesday August 8, 2017 and Monday August 14, 2017 the Lakewood Police Department has taken five reports of wheels and tires being stolen.

In these cases all four wheels and tires were removed, leaving the vehicle propped up on a paving stone.

In all of these cases the vehicles were Honda products, four Accords and 1 Civic.

Thefts were reported on August 8, 12 and 14. The time range of these thefts is from 3:00pm to 10:00am.

With the exception of one case all of the vehicles were parked on the street.

There was a dark colored SUV seen in the area of one of these thefts.Earlier this year, there were four such robberies involving two Toyota Corollas and two Honda Accords.

Those crimes also happened in different parts of town. Lakewood Police Capt. Ed Hassing says these crooks move very quickly, and urges residents to call them if they spot a group of people tampering with their vehicle or their neighbors.

Hassing tells Newsradio WTAM they aren't sure how many suspects are involved, or who they are selling the wheels and tires to, the buyer could be online.

If anyone has any information they should contact the Lakewood Police Department at 216-521-6773.
