Veteran gets to keep therapy ducks

West Lafayette Village, Ohio ( TTWN Media Networks)- An Iraq war veteran suffering from PTSD and depression can now legally keep his therapy ducks.

The "Coshocton Tribune" reports Darin Welker was charged with a misdemeanour for violating the ban on farm animals in the West Lafayette Village.

Welker refused to give up his six birds, appealing his case all the way to the state Supreme Court.

While he was unsuccessful, the Village Council has now decided to grant Welker a variance on the ordinance, allowing him to keep his ducks.
