Double homicide suspect held on $50 million bond

(Cuyahoga County) - A Brunswick man is now charged with the double homicide discovered in Parma Heights last month. 

Thomas Knuff was arraigned this afternoon in connection with the two decomposed bodies that were found in his home on June 21st. 

Investigators report, the remains of 50-year-old Regina Capobianco and John Mann were found rotting in the house on Nelwood Road. 

Both had been stabbed multiple times. Parma Heights Police Capt. Steve Scharsschmidt tells Newsradio WTAM 1100, that his detectives had been keeping a close eye on Knuff, who had just finished serving a prison sentence. 

He reveals that Knuff and Capobianco had been pen pals when we both were serving time behind bars. 

Knuff was released from prison in April after doing a 15 year stretch for breaking and entering, and aggravated robbery.

Knuff is being held on a $50-million bond. Police are still working on a motive for the killings, it's believed that Capobianco and Mann were dating.
