One armed bandit charged in robberies, shooting

(CLEVELAND) - Two underage teens are being charged with a handful of violent crimes in Cleveland.

Krillian Howard, 17,  and Daryl Avent, 17,  are being charged after robbing a man in March, after he withdrew money from an ATM on Warren Road in Cleveland.  Police say they pistol whipped the man then took his cell phone and left in his truck.

Reports show Howard only has part of his right arm after a train accident two years ago while running from Police.

Howard is also charged with robbing a Subway restaurant on Memphis Avenue in March and shooting one of the employees. For that crime alone, he's is being charged with attempted murder and aggravated robbery.

"These defendants are examples of why these violent juveniles terrorizing our streets need to be tried as adults,” said Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley. “Howard’s pattern of violence throughout Northeast Ohio against innocent people is now a pathway to spending decades behind bars.”
