(Akron) - A "Kid from Akron" got to take a tour this week of Akron's best-known employer, and gave an encouraging talk to the employees.
LeBron James was given an unannounced VIP tour of Goodyear's Akron headquarters this week, and spoke to employees, then he posted a video about it on his Instagram page.
James says that people who work at Goodyear "day in and day out, they do their job and continue to raise the bar. That's Akron. That's Northeast Ohio, and I'm damn proud to call this place home."
James says his father-in-law worked in a rubber plant for many years.
