State Attorney General forms new task force

Human Trafficking

(Cleveland) - State and Cuyahoga County leaders are forming a task force designed to gain control of the increasing rate of human trafficking in the region.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is urging the public to be more watchful, and to report any situation that has the appearance of human trafficking.

DeWine has partnered with Cuyahoga County Sheriff Clifford Pinkney, Prosecutor Michael O'Malley, and the Independence Police Department.

He says the average age of a child sex trafficking victim is between 12 and 14.
