(Painesville) - A Lake County woman who worked as a psychic will spend eight years behind bars for bilking clients out of $1.4 million.
Prosecutors allege Gina Miller sized up victims and made them believe she could see the future, then charged them to get rid of curses or "darkness" that could supposedly cause illness or tragedy.
Some of the victims say they were financially ruined or suffered health problems after following Miller's advice.
During her sentencing, Miller was ordered to pay restitution, but prosecutors say she spent most of the money on such things as vacations, furs and gambling.
